08-08-08 NIGHT OF NEW BEGINNING VIGIL 08-08-08 in Brief. 2008 is a year with prophetic significance. In the Scriptures, the number ‘8' is a highly prophetic and historic number. It is a number of new beginning. It is the number that connects the endof an old phase with the inception of a new one. It is a number associated with change, new trends and innovations. It is a number associated with circumcision and new covenant realities. It is associated with rainbow - Noah, wife, Shem, Ham, Japheth and their wives - eight people started the world again after the flood (Genesis 8:8). 2008 is also a leap year.
